Welcome!

Hello everyone and thanks for visiting Uptown Toddler Dance.  We are a new program starting at Nola Spaces this fall.  As a dance teacher in the New Orleans area I have found that there is a need for non-recital based dance for young toddlers.  There are so many wonderful benefits of dance for young children, both physically and mentally.  However, the scheduling and performance expectations of most traditional dance studios can sometimes be too much for younger children.  At such an early age (2-5 years) children should be able to experience movement and dance in a fun and nurturing environment without the pressures to "perform". Besides, there will be plenty of time for that in the future :)
